To help content creators struggling to find mainstream storage providers that allow explicit content, a data storage service designed specifically for creators of porn and porn videos has been launched.
SceneLocker recently opened, and creators and companies in the adult entertainment industry are welcome to use its storage. SceneLocker's main selling point is that, unlike other sites, it does not block users or remove pornography and adult content - problems that some adult content creators have run into. Before users can use SceneLocker, they must confirm that they are at least 18 years old.
One of the creators of SceneLocker is Matt Slayer, a Los Angeles-based podcast creator and former private investigator. On his And Now We Drink podcast, Slayer features adult industry artists sharing "debauched stories." He claimed that these content creators, many of whom had faced the abrupt termination of their Google Drive accounts, "were always asking me about cloud storage and file-sharing solutions."
After uploading sexually explicit content, several users have claimed that data storage companies deleted their files with pornographic content or deactivated their storage accounts.
SceneLocker is designed for pornographic content producers who have huge collections of pornographic photos and videos and can be used for digital file storage. You can quickly create a one-time link to share files stored in your SceneLocker archive.
It seeks to provide a replacement for data storage services such as pCloud, Apple's iCloud, Dropbox, Google Drive and Mega.
A data storage service that sells itself as privacy-oriented and a safe haven for porn might attract users who want to use it for other storage purposes, even if SceneLocker is intended to store legal adult content.

According to Slayer, SceneLocker can monitor everything posted on it, and he is "especially concerned about illegal content and copyrighted material."
He declined to give specific details about the procedure for checking content, claiming that this could encourage malicious actors to look for vulnerabilities. "In serious cases where we suspect that the content is illegal, we lock the account and notify the user of the reason, which he can appeal if he thinks it was done wrongly," he continued.
Given its emphasis on pornographic content, SceneLocker is at clear risk of attracting the attention of hackers. According to Slayer, SceneLocker encrypts data and its developers "regularly scan our code to aggressively address vulnerabilities." This is in addition to the various security measures commonly used by any service hosting user data, such as DDOS buffering [against distributed denial-of-service cyberattacks].
"A file shared by a SceneLocker user can only be downloaded once," he continued. This prevents URLs from appearing on Discord servers or other locations where they can be stolen. Users can check if their file has been accessed, have full control over the shared link and can cancel access if they decide they no longer want it.
SceneLocker starts at $7.99 per month for 500 GB of storage and $19.99 per month for 2.5 TB. This is with an annual subscription. Per month will be slightly more expensive.
The monthly fee for a "professional" account, which gets you up to three user accounts and 10 terabytes of storage, starts at $99.99.
