Using Apple Immersive Video, a 180-degree video format that combines 8K 3D video and spatial sound for immersive experiences, Apple is releasing new video content for the Vision Pro.
Boundless, an episode aptly titled "Hot Air Balloons," takes viewers on a hot air balloon ride over Cappadocia, Turkey, and premieres July 18.
The next installment of Wild Life, a wildlife documentary series shot at Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Kenya, will be available to Vision Pro subscribers in August. Elevated, to be released in September, promises panoramic views of breathtaking locations, starting with Hawaii.
Apple will also offer an immersive experience including The Weeknd, Edward Berger's first short scripted film Submerged and exclusive sports content such as behind-the-scenes access to the 2024 NBA All-Star Weekend.
Also coming is a new sports series called Big-Wave Surfing with Red Bull in which professional surfers take on huge waves in Tahiti.
The URSA Cine Immersive camera is one of the new tools and procedures Apple and Blackmagic Design are working with to improve the production of Apple Immersive Video.
In some countries, all of these immersive videos will be available for free through the Apple TV app.
